Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier are set to step back into the Octagon on Saturday night, and ahead of the rematch, ESPN asked us to take a closer look at their last matchup.



Poirier surprised the fighting world with his win over McGregor in January, and Sport Science broke down how he pulled off the upset. The key to his victory was his leg kick, a move that is often underappreciated in the eyes of casual fans. We used impact graphics and sound effects to highlight the move, and our 3D model enabled us to visualize the impact that these kicks can have on the calf muscle and surrounding nerves over the course of a fight.
